Did you know wearing three Fu Dog heads on your wrist superimposed on a background of the flower of life would make you a vibrant and lucky and trusted and magical and eternal and powerful and beautiful and wise and sought-after and influential force to be reckoned with? This bracelet says to me all those things!

Did you know that the abstract representation of a Fu Dog merely reinforces its power when you believe in it? If you’re not sure it’s a Fu Dog then you’re all alone – why be all alone when it’s so easy to reach out and be embraced what loves you!

Did you know that Fu Dogs like cookies? The one above is watching out that no one takes the ginger cookies – but if they like them so much why guard them; why not eat them and guard them in their belly – that seems to make the most sense to me, so, um, can I have a cookie, since you’re going to have some too?!

Did you know that sharing intimate details with a loved one, even for Fu Dogs, shows you in a different light? These two Fu Dogs are so intimate they are barely recognizable, exposing all their quirks and unique views on life and love, all their world defining attitudes and beliefs, all their soul bared for each to see – and to cherish – as I do!

This artist Jeffry Mitchell has produced, through 2005-2007, other Fu Dog who are so unique I feared losing their images so have posted them below!

Did you know that a pair of Fu Dogs sticks together? I think they just have one song in their heads - “Let’s hang on to what we got” – it’s on infinite loop (they tell everyone they like heavy metal and listen to it all the time, but really it’s that Frankie Valli song)!

Did you know that sometimes there are two offspring for a Fu Dog? I’m sure they have all the fun siblings can have – and all the mischief, and all the fights, and all the caring about each other – suddenly I am sad for the lone Fu Dog cub (except for presents that don’t have to be shared and competition that doesn’t have to understate everything, and one getting its way and the other suffering through it – suddenly I an sad for the Fu Dog cub/puppy pair)! – yin and yang buddy, yin and yang!

Did you know that Fu Dogs don’t suffer the vicissitudes of human life? That’s right, they don’t worry if they’ve done the right thing or if they’ve insulted you, don’t lose sleep or sanity over whether or not you like them or care about them or miss them when you’re traveling, and don’t struggle to understand what it all means and if it’s important or not – nope, they’re just there doing what they do; you know, if I just push all my own worries and various  insecurities and questions and emotions and vicissitudes on my Fu Dogs, well, I don’t think they’d mind at all!

Did you know that honesty is a Fu Dog trait? Not painful in your face honesty though - sometimes a little ‘off-truth’ is necessary even if it’s obviously a lie to all involved (don’t let it keep you up late you being tired and all) like when the Fu Dog said “holding up the building, why, no, I’m not part of the supporting structure of this building” – you believe it don’t you, because the Fu Dog won’t change its ‘story’, so, just let it believe its lie and go on to bed!

Did you know that communication is one of the Fu Dogs’ strong points? They couldn’t all cross the bridge together if they didn’t communicate now could they – in fact a failure to communicate is almost always a fault beyond the control of the Fu Dog; communication is key to good bridge crossings – don’t you wish sometimes that those you know communicated half as well as a Fu Dog instead of letting you down and disappointing you with their constant failures to participate in promised communication!

Did you know that porcelain Fu Dogs are usually short lived? Sometimes you run out of time to do the things you want to do or the things you might do or the things you’d like to try – time is like a hammer that a porcelain Fu Dog can’t avoid; this one looks like he’s making the most out of his moment – I’d be glad to share my moment with such a happy fellow, wouldn’t you!

Did you know sometimes Fu Dogs have jewels in place of their eyes? The story goes that an old lady had an oxygen tank that was stolen by a 14 foot tall kangaroo and when the old lady’s respirator needed another tank there wasn’t one because the Fu Dog she had didn’t think it was important and let the kangaroo take it, so, some beautiful Goddess or Deity or some such gouged out the Fu Dog’s eyes and replaced them with jewels so that the Fu Dog would realize everything it watched over and could see was precious! Ok, I made that up, but, I like to be seen as precious – makes me feel good, doesn’t it make you feel good too!
