This Fu Dog is property of the J. M. Davenport collection and is about 2 inches in all dimensions.

Did you know that stone seals (having an inscription on the bottom that when dipped in ink and pressed to paper represents the owner) are a favorite Fu Dog use? I don’t have one but would like one!

  1. I have a Foo Dog pair that i am certain are quite old. I was wondering if you would be interested in looking at them/Possibly buying them. I am going to have them on ebay by tonight. just go search ebay for pjared2011 in a few hours and i'll have the pair up. But just as a brief description they are at least a foot and half tall. The standard fu dog theme with the male and female each resting paws on the world and a cub respectively. They are porcelain sculptures. The paint design on the Fu dogs is of a floral scene in, what i can only describe as, eastern watercolor style painting. Both dogs are wearing matching blue collars with gold/red painted feathers on the sculpture which i did not notice on other pieces, However im not well versed in asian art so i do not know if that has any significance. The final thing i noticed is a chinese inscription on the bottom which i cannot by any means interpret or translate for you. If you would like pictures or would like to discuss pricing or even if you would just like to view the pieces and inform a newcomer into the asian artform of Fu Dogs email me at ffffggggdd@yahoo.com Yes thats really my email. My last account got hacked and i lost the password lol. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Sincerely
    Jared Priester.
