Did you know sometimes Fu Dogs have jewels in place of their eyes? The story goes that an old lady had an oxygen tank that was stolen by a 14 foot tall kangaroo and when the old lady’s respirator needed another tank there wasn’t one because the Fu Dog she had didn’t think it was important and let the kangaroo take it, so, some beautiful Goddess or Deity or some such gouged out the Fu Dog’s eyes and replaced them with jewels so that the Fu Dog would realize everything it watched over and could see was precious! Ok, I made that up, but, I like to be seen as precious – makes me feel good, doesn’t it make you feel good too!
